Dan Murphy is a talented young artist with a multifaceted career in the entertainment industry. Apart from being a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and viral beatboxer, Dan is also an entrepreneur and travel blogger.

Dan Murphy is the co-founder, lead singer and multi-instrumentalist for the Irish band Hermitage Green. He is a featured artist with Lee Oskar Harmonicas and is one of the world’s leading pioneers in beatbox harmonica playing. Their line-up features four-part vocal harmonies, harmonica, didgeridoo, dobro and guitars; all infused with tribal rhythms played by two percussionists using djembe, drum kit and the traditional Irish bodhran. In 2015, they signed a record deal with Sony and have since released three studio albums. They regularly play sell-out tours across North America, Australia, Ireland and Europe, and have toured with The Pogues, Josh Ritter, Paloma Faith, James Morrison and many more.

Dan also hosts his own podcast called ‘The Chat with Dan Murphy’ which features eclectic conversations with an array of world-renowned guests which include Jimmy Carr, Desmond Child, Gregory David Roberts (Shantaram), Noel Hogan of The Cranberries and Blindboy Boatclub.

Outside of music and podcasting, Dan is passionate about travelling. He is the co-director of adventure travel company Global Village Tours, which has seen him guide groups into some of the world’s most unusual travel destinations such as North Korea, Chernobyl, Turkmenistan and Transnistria.
