From Struggles to Solace: The Birth of Inner Peace Cove

Jannat, psychologist, psychology, Inner Peace Cove, emotional wellness and counseling,

Every sanctuary begins with a story, and Inner Peace Cove is no exception. It was not born out of spreadsheets or business strategies but from a calling—a deeply personal journey shaped by struggles, triumphs, and a steadfast desire to help others navigate their emotional storms.

I’m Jannat, a psychologist, a mother, and the founder of Inner Peace Cove, a haven for emotional healing and counseling. My journey into this world of solace and understanding began in the classrooms of Lady Shri Ram College, where I first marveled at the complexities of the human mind. That curiosity propelled me into a Master’s program at Delhi University, where I delved deeper into the theories of psychology, followed by advanced training in psychotherapy and counseling.

But life had its own lessons in store, far beyond textbooks.

Years in the corporate world opened my eyes to the invisible toll of workplace stress. Colleagues would confide in me during hurried lunch breaks, and I became a confidante, unknowingly laying the foundation for what would one day become my calling. And then came motherhood—a profound, beautiful, and challenging chapter of my life.

The arrival of my daughter, Jahaan, brought immense joy but also struggles I hadn’t anticipated. Postpartum depression wrapped around me like a shadow, and I found myself grappling with exhaustion, isolation, and self-doubt. It was during these moments of vulnerability that I discovered the strength of compassion—for myself and for others.

With this newfound empathy, I immersed myself in mastering therapeutic techniques:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to untangle negative thought patterns,

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to dismantle limiting beliefs,

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to spotlight hope and progress,

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to blend presence with healing, and

Transactional Analysis (TA) to mend and strengthen relationships.

Each modality, each client, and each life story deepened my resolve to create a space where healing could flourish—a space that finally became Inner Peace Cove.

Like the name suggests, Inner Peace Cove is a sanctuary—a “cove” where people can anchor themselves amidst life’s storms. Here, no two journeys are the same. Each client is seen, heard, and supported through a tailored therapeutic approach, whether they are battling anxiety, depression, grief, or simply seeking clarity.

The joy of witnessing my clients transform, rediscover their strength, and reclaim their peace is indescribable. Every step of their journey inspires me, reminding me why Inner Peace Cove exists—to be a refuge, a guide, and a source of hope.

This is more than my profession; it is my purpose. And through Inner Peace Cove, I am honored to help individuals find their way back to themselves, one moment of healing at a time.
