Puchkaman: Bengal’s First Hygienic Puchka Brand Leading a Street Food Revolution

Puchkaman, Bengal’s First Hygienic Puchka Brand, Street Food Revolution, Puchkaman Foods Pvt. Ltd.,

In a bold move to bring structure and hygiene to one of India’s most loved street foods, Puchkaman Foods Pvt. Ltd., Bengal’s first branded Puchka chain, is redefining how Indians consume their favourite snacks. Founded in 2018 by entrepreneurs Sujoy and Saikat and supported by another partner Jayeeta, Puchkaman is on a mission to revolutionize the street food industry by offering hygienic, standardized, and scalable Puchka and street food experiences across India.

What started as a small venture rooted in passion has now grown into a scalable, self-sustainable business model that not only delights customers but also creates widespread self-employment opportunities. By offering franchise models across various parts of Bengal, Puchkaman empowers local entrepreneurs to run their own profitable street food cafés with full support, training, and a central supply chain.

With 18 operational outlets (10 COCO and 8 FOFO) in Kolkata, Siliguri, Bardhaman , Bangalore and more on the way, the brand is growing rapidly. COCO pop-up stores are currently present in schools, colleges, malls, and public spaces, focused on Puchkas and chaats. The FOFO model, known as Puchkaman – Street Food Café, offers a wider variety of Indian street food—all served in a clean, controlled environment.

“Our core vision was to bring hygiene and standardization to a food category that connects the whole of India,” says Sujoy, Co-founder & Director of Puchkaman. “Puchka has a billion-dollar market, yet lacks organized players. We saw a massive opportunity to build something meaningful.”

The backbone of Puchkaman’s model is its centralized kitchen system, where food is prepared under strict quality controls and then distributed to outlets in branded, ready-to-serve formats. The chef-less model ensures that franchise staff can be trained in under two weeks, making expansion faster and more efficient. Co-founder Saikat, who oversees operations and supply, adds, “Every detail from SOPs to packaging has been designed to make this model scalable across cities without compromising on taste or hygiene.”

Adding further credibility to the brand is Mr. Binod Kumar Homagai, Co-founder of Wow! Momo, who joined Puchkaman as a mentor and investor during the company’s early days. His belief in the model has helped guide the company during its bootstrapping phase.

Looking ahead, Puchkaman is planning to set up more outlets in different parts of Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and North East parts of India. This will allow the brand to supply hygienic Puchkas across the country—extending its mission of bringing clean street food to every corner of India.

With a strong backend, committed leadership, and a socially responsible vision, Puchkaman is not just creating a brand—it’s building a street food legacy that Bengal can be proud of.
