Motherhood transformed my world in ways I had never anticipated. Each day brought new lessons, surprises, and challenges that no guidebook could fully prepare me for. As a new mom I had done several mistakes in feeding my firstborn which in turn led to Picky eating. That’s when I began experimenting in kitchen so I could reverse her picky eating. What began as a personal journey of trial and error soon evolved into a mission to share, connect, and inspire. My story as a mom blogger started not with ambition or strategy, but with the simple desire to document my experiences and learnings as a parent. I wish no one else does the same mistakes as I did.
In the early days of motherhood, I often sought guidance online. While advice was plentiful, much of it felt distant and idealized. Perfect homes, flawless meals, smiling babies, everything seemed curated to perfection. I longed for narratives that reflected the real, sometimes messy, but always authentic truth of parenting. That realization became the spark for my blogging journey. I wanted to create a space where fellow parents could feel seen, understood, and supported through the raw and real moments of raising children.
My first blog posts were inspired by Baby Led weaning journey of my 2nd baby. I made sure I followed the right techniques this time and also started sharing my journey withfellow moms. Cooking for my family had always been an act of love, but motherhood gave it deeper meaning. I shared simple recipes for babies and toddlers, many born from my own kitchen experiments. From introducing solids to tackling picky eating, every post was grounded in real experiences. The response was heartening. Parents engaged, shared their stories, and offered feedback. I realized that my honesty and relatability were resonating because they reflected lived experiences rather than curated perfection.
Authenticity became the cornerstone of my content. I chose to share both triumphs and struggles, from sleepless nights to moments of pure joy. Parenting tests patience, creativity, and emotional resilience, and I wanted my audience to know that they were not alone in these moments. Every post became a bridge connecting parents who were navigating similar paths.
As the community around my blog expanded, new opportunities emerged. Parents from across the country began reaching out with stories of how my posts had helped them navigate challenges, find comfort, and feel empowered. This engagement encouraged me to collaborate with child nutritionists, pediatricians, and wellness experts to ensure that my guidance was credible as well as relatable. Each interaction deepened my understanding of the needs of modern parents and strengthened my commitment to creating meaningful content.
The journey from kitchen experiments to national recognition was neither quick nor easy. Balancing parenting, content creation, and personal life demanded discipline and emotional resilience. I learned the importance of setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and letting go of the pursuit of perfection. Taking time to recharge became essential not only for my wellbeing but also for my ability to show up fully for my family and my audience.
Today, seeing my work recognized nationally is deeply humbling. Truly honoured to receive the ‘Best Kid friendly recipe creator’ which was based upon voting by my followers. Hence, the most rewarding aspect remains the connection with parents who find reassurance and inspiration through my stories. My blog, my books, and my social media presence are all extensions of a simple belief that authenticity matters and that every parent deserves support, encouragement, and a sense of community.
“Motherhood taught me that authenticity is more powerful than perfection. Sharing real experiences helps parents feel supported and reminds them that they are not alone in this journey.” — Sonal Katyal, Mom Blogger & Parenting Expert
Every day continues to bring new challenges and learning opportunities, but the core of my journey remains unchanged. From kitchen experiments to national recognition, my mission is to empower parents, celebrate imperfection, and create a community where honesty and empathy guide the way.
