Bangalore School of Design & Technology Hosts Mozaic 2024

The inter-college design fest, held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, witnessed enthusiastic participation from premier institutions such as Reva University, Army Institute of Fashion Design, Nitte College, BRINDAVAN Architecture College, and more.

BSDT was set up in the year of 2017. Today it is one of Bangalore’s most promising design colleges. Under the visionary leadership of Institution Chairman Ar. Dineshwar S and Co-chairman Mr. Praveen Nandakumar, the college offers an unparalleled higher education experience. Ar. A Day of Enlightenment and Engagement

The inaugural ceremony of Mozaic 2024 featured the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by eminent personalities. The list included names like Ar. Vishwanath V, Chairperson Elect of IIID Bangalore Chapter, and Founder of YV Architects, alongside Ar. Karun Kumbera, Principal Architect at Karun Kumbera Architects & Urbanists. Addressing the audience, Ar. Vishwanath emphasized the importance of sustainable building materials, while Ar. Dineshwar explored how AI is revolutionizing architectural decision-making processes.

Immersive Workshops and Enlightening Talks

The fest offered an impressive series of insights:

  • Design Talks: Architecture and interior acumen were shared by Ar. Karun Kumbera and Ms. Ekta Manchanda, Co-founder of Everything Design.
  • Workshops: Highlights included Beyond the Lens: An AI-Driven Photography Workshop by Mudrost Studios; Exploring Plant-Based Materials for Sustainable Design Solutions by Geosmin founder Mr. Raghuveer Phanaghanti. Additionally, Mr. Elanthirayan Madhavan, an Extended Reality (XR) Specialist, led an immersive workshop on The Future of XR and Spatial Computing.
  • Seminars: Ms. Maneesha Warkade captivated attendees with her session, AI Canvas: Crafting Creativity Through Prompts.
  • Panel Discussions: A dialogue on AI’s Role in Building a Sustainable Future brought together experts. The panelists included generative artist Mr. Noufal Kuttipencil, Kyra creator Mr. Himanshu Goel, Ar. Nayanika Natesh of NNAD Studio, Ar. Swapnil Valvatkar (Principal Architect, Collage Architecture Studios), and Ar. Karun Kumbera (Principal Architect at Karun Kumbera Architects & Urbanists).

The day concluded on a high note with an exhilarating musical performance by the famous rock band, Psychodrama.
