On the vibrant afternoon of 23rd May 2025, poetry lovers and literary enthusiasts gathered at Higginbothams, Bangalore, for the much-awaited launch of “Eternal Echoes – Love, Society’s Silhouette and Growth” by Peeyush Marwaha, also known by his literary moniker PMTalks (Instagram: hashpmtalks).
The launch was not just a celebration of a book but a heartfelt communion of stories, emotions, and poetic rhythms that resonated with every reader present. The book was unveiled by Ms Nikita Abrol dearly known as nikki.pedia (instagram), a renowned Senior Multimedia producer. She highlighted the book’s themes and emphasized on the societal hypocrisy issues and growth mindset (transformation, reflections) beautifully woven in strings of words by Peeyush in his work. The event received an overwhelming response with readers praising the depth, relatability, and originality of PMTalks’ compositions—firmly establishing the collection as a soulful success.
In an exclusive post-launch Q&A, PMTalks delves deep into the making of “Eternal Echoes”, his creative inspirations, writing rituals, and the emotional truths behind his verses.
Q: What draws you to the medium of poetry, and how do you believe it offers a distinctive way to communicate emotions and ideas?
PMTalks: Poetry is the language of the soul and heart—you can smell its earthen fragrance from miles apart. It flows freely, capturing emotions and ideas inspired by nature, society, or even something as simple as a fallen leaf. It’s a form of storytelling that engages deeply with readers, letting them find personal meaning within every line.
Q: Can you share the inspiration behind the theme of your poems and how it influenced the tone and structure of the book?
PMTalks: I’ve been writing poetry since my teens. Over time, my themes evolved, painting a
throwback to personal reflections and societal observations. Eternal Echoes encompasses 113 curated poems across four themes:
- Self-Care
- Society’s Silhouette
- Growth Mindset
- Matters of Heart(inspired by Annie, my dream companion or twin flame). From societal betrayals to inner reflections and romantic yearning, the structure naturally formed like conversations with readers—authentic, free-flowing, and purposeful.
Q: Poetry often invites personal interpretation. How do you balance your intended meaning with the reader’s perspective?
PMTalks: While poetry is meant to be interpreted by readers, I ensure that each poem has a reflection or summary at the end, offering a gentle guide—be it a call to action, a question, or simply a nudge for introspection. The poems are conversational, mostly rhymed, and include puns, enhancing both relatability and thoughtfulness.
Q: Tell us about the musicality of your language and how it shapes the reader’s experience.
PMTalks: I call it Rhyming Rain. Some words and phrases recur across poems, creating a journey-like feel—much like a traveller’s quest for Annie. Readers encounter different “spectators” in these poems—critics, admirers, companions, or even silent envious eyes. It’s designed to be introspective yet fun, philosophical yet light-hearted.
Q: How has your personal journey influenced your themes and imagery?
PMTalks: This book carries my soul. It’s built on personal states of mind, spiritual growth, resilience, hope,
and experiences that resonate with today’s readers. You’ll find imagery that inspires—be it mountain climbers, silent observers, gladiators in life’s arena, or manifestations of a soulmate. These are real feelings painted with poetic hues.
Q: How do you use poetry to comment on the world and its societal dynamics?
PMTalks: I see the world as a global village. Many of my poems are written in the third person—using terms like The One or The Other—keeping them gender-neutral (except for Annie, though I wish Annie could be a universal name!). Each title, such as “We are Stories”, “Funny Squiggly Shapes”, or “Annie and Him – Part 2”, carries a message tied to one of the book’s four central themes. The accompanying reflections are crafted to connect, awaken, and sometimes even challenge the reader.
Q: Do you follow a writing routine, or is your process more instinctive?
PMTalks: It’s completely instinctive. I write impromptu, mostly around midnight or during drives, or even while sipping coffee solo. I believe poetry should be soul-driven, not dictionary-fed. Sometimes, I pen down an entire poem in one go—other times, I start over. But each time, it must quench a soul-thirst. A great example is from May 10th, 2025, after I attended a comedy show. Observing strangers around me sparked a poem within minutes—just five or six lines that told an entire story.
Eternal Echoes is more than a collection of poems—it is a journey through self-discovery, societal critique, emotional truth, and ethereal love. With themes that strike a universal chord and a tone that feels like a heart-to-heart conversation, PMTalks has delivered a poetic masterpiece that’s resonating across readers of all ages.
The book launch at Higginbothams, Bangalore, was a true celebration of poetry’s power—attended by avid readers, aspiring writers, and literature enthusiasts, all applauding the book’s depth and honesty. The event marks the beginning of a long, impactful journey for Eternal Echoes and its passionate creator.
