Celebrating 50 years of excellence in healthcare education, the Institute of Public Health & Hygiene (IPHH) has announced a prestigious two-day national conference focusing on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and reproductive health and hygiene. The conference, titled “Civilizational Knowledge, Economic Transformation & Contemporary Innovation: Redefining Development in the 21st Century,” will be held on April 10–11, 2026, in hybrid mode, allowing participation from across the country.
Established in 1976, Institute of Public Health and Hygiene (IPHH) has built a strong reputation as a leading institution in paramedical and allied health sciences. Over the decades, the institute has consistently contributed to the healthcare sector by offering industry-relevant certificate, diploma, and degree programmes in fields such as medical laboratory technology, radiography, physiotherapy, and public health. With a focus on skill-based education and hands-on training, IPHH continues to prepare students for real-world healthcare challenges.
The upcoming conference aims to bring together renowned healthcare professionals, academicians, researchers, and students to discuss critical public health issues. Key topics will include preventive strategies, awareness campaigns, and innovative interdisciplinary approaches to tackling HIV/AIDS and other emerging health concerns. The event is expected to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and policy discussions in the evolving healthcare landscape.
This initiative comes as part of IPHH’s golden jubilee celebrations, marking five decades of academic excellence, innovation, and commitment to public health. The institute has also taken a significant step towards student well-being with the launch of Manovani, a dedicated mental health centre offering counselling services, stress management sessions, and awareness programmes.
An institute official emphasized that modern healthcare education must go beyond technical knowledge and include awareness of public health issues along with mental wellness support. Looking ahead, IPHH plans to further expand its academic offerings and infrastructure to meet the growing demand for skilled allied health professionals in India.
With its legacy of excellence and forward-thinking initiatives, IPHH continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare education and public health awareness in the country.
