To promote health, nutrition and self-reliance of adolescent girls, under the CSR of Ageas Federal Life Insurance (AFLI) in Delhi and run by Raj Kumari Foundation (RKF), 5000 adolescent girls in Delhi, Jharkhand and Odisha are to be made aware. The main objective of this project is to raise awareness about menstrual health and hygiene, anemia and related health problems. Apart from this, a unique initiative has been taken to promote hormonal balance through seed cycle.
Let us tell you that AFLI and RKF organized Kishori Shakti Utsav at Barat Ghar located at Bhati Mines, Sanjay Colony, Delhi, on this occasion AFLI CEO Jude Gomes, AFLI Vice President Iram Kidwai and Raj Kumari Foundation Director Dr. Navneet Anand were present as chief guests.
A total of 337 adolescent girls were distributed kits in this event. This initiative helped around 62% of the girls whose parents are working or associated with the MSME sector. Also, the event included a street play on menstruation. Manish and Daniela from AFLI, and Sakshi Agarwal, Supriya, Meenu, Vaishali and Ankur from RKF also played an important role. Apart from this, student volunteers from BIT Mesra, Noida Campus helped in successfully organizing the event.
This initiative of Ageas Federal Life Insurance and Raj Kumari Foundation is an important step towards the overall health and empowerment of adolescent girls.
