The Memory That Never Dies: A Reincarnational Journey by Author David Nathan

Author David Nathan, Reincarnational Journey

Through 7 Lives – A Reincarnational Journey is a profoundly personal and spiritually compelling exploration of seven lifetimes lived across different eras, cultures, and continents. Drawing from past-life hypnotherapy, intuitive recall, and lived experience, Author David Nathan traces the soul’s evolution through ancient Egypt, Nepal, Cambodia, Haiti, Senegal, America, and into his present life.

Part memoir, part metaphysical narrative, the book reveals how the soul carries emotional imprints, unresolved lessons, and karmic connections from one life to the next — shaping relationships, talents, fears, affinities, and inexplicable familiarity.

More than a story of reincarnation, this book invites readers to ask: Have I lived before?
It challenges linear thinking, expands spiritual perspective, and encourages self-discovery through the deep memory of the soul.

A journey across seven lifetimes.
A reminder that nothing is accidental.
A call to awaken what you already know within.

Inspiration for the Book:

“I was inspired to write Through 7 Lives – A Reincarnational Journey after writing a poem in 1978, experiencing several past-life hypnotherapy sessions, and feeling a strong connection to people and cultures beyond my own upbringing. I sensed I had lived before, and the book became my way of sharing those experiences.”

Writing Process & Creative Flow:

“The writing began many years ago, based on six incarnations I identified from the 1978 poem. I didn’t follow a strict routine — the stories unfolded in stages over the years. Many days I would sit at the computer with no idea what would appear on the page. It felt as though the stories were being revealed, not invented.”

Whether the Characters Are Real or Imagined:

“One character — Egyptian Pharaoh Smenkhare — is based on a real historical figure. The others were given names through research but emerged in a way that felt ‘channeled’ rather than imagined. Except for the seventh chapter, which is from my present life, it was as if each character dictated their own story to me.”

Why Explore Reincarnation and Past Lives:

“My interest began as a teenager, when I felt unusually drawn to places like Senegal, Egypt, Haiti, and Cambodia. A key turning point was a conversation with Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire in 1975 about reincarnation. From that moment, I became fascinated with how past lives may influence our current life — through déjà vu, emotional familiarity, or deep unexplainable resonance. My hope is that readers will question their own soul history and consider whether they, too, have lived before.”

World-Building & Historical Accuracy:

“All locations in the book are real. The first six chapters are based on past-life recall in Egypt, Nepal, Cambodia, Haiti, Benin/Senegal, and the American South. I visited Egypt, Cambodia, Louisiana, and North Carolina for a deeper connection. For accuracy, I researched monasteries, jazz clubs, slavery routes, and dates — but allowed the emotional truth of each life to unfold on its own.”

Originality vs Genre Expectations:

“I never wrote with genre expectations in mind. The book revealed itself. I did not outline or pre-plan; I simply allowed the stories to flow. Often I would reread pages and not remember writing them — which confirmed the sense that I was channeling rather than constructing the narrative. The seventh chapter became the bridge to this lifetime, showing how karmic themes continue.”

Maintaining Pacing and Reader Engagement:

“I didn’t consciously write for pacing — the tension emerged naturally as each story reached its turning point. To prevent abrupt endings, I added a ‘postscript’ after each chapter so readers could understand the soul’s progression beyond the visible story. These gaps allow room for future books or films and leave readers wondering what happened next.”

Storytelling in Today’s Media Landscape:

“Traditional storytelling remains powerful, but today’s audiences want continuity — sequels, series, multimedia experiences. I see Through 7 Lives moving beyond the page into audio, film, streaming, and interactive formats. I’ve also added an optional worksheet at the end of the book so readers can explore signs of their own past lives. Engaging readers beyond the book is essential — not just telling a story, but creating a conversation.”
