Learners participate in a hackathon on Ligament Tear Classification

Guwahati (Assam) [India]: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and TimesPro conducted the convocation ceremony for the graduating third batch of the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning at the institute recently. The convocation ceremony was conducted during the campus immersion session and included a hackathon on ‘Ligament Tear Classification’.

The five-day immersion session for the Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning included lectures by Prof Arghyadip on ‘Multi-armed Bandit’ and Prof Suresh Sundaram on ‘Handwritten Based Biometrics’ and was followed by the announcement of the results and issuance of certificates on the final day.

The Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning is an eight-month programme contextually designed for working professionals to equip them with the ability to plan, design, deploy, and lead AI strategies effectively to enhance efficiency. Learners got introduced to concepts like Python, Tensorflow, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Deep Learning, etc., to develop their understanding of AI & DL and its application for better business outcomes.

Speaking at the convocation, Professor Parameswar Krishnan Iyer, Officiating Director-Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati said, “We are delighted to announce the completion of the third batch of Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning. The campus immersion and outcome of the hackathon was very productive, and our learners gained valued insights while interacting with our faculty and during the guest sessions. The programme will enable our graduating batch to lead their organisation’s AI strategy and build new products and services to boost efficiency and productivity.”
