1. What inspired you to write this particular book, and how did the idea come to you?
I have always been fascinated by superhero movies like Avengers, Spider-Man, and the Marvel and DC universes. Even Hindi films like Krrish had a deep impact on my imagination. The sights, sounds, and picturization created a lasting impression on me, and I wanted to create my own team of superheroes who share my desire to help and protect. That passion eventually grew into this story.
2. Can you share some insights into your writing process?
This is my first book, and I was deeply passionate and committed to my characters. I tried to write regularly—at least twice a week. Whenever ideas came to me, I made sure to note them down so I could later expand or develop them into a story.
When I met my teacher, Mrs. Meera, she introduced me to a structured writing process involving multiple drafts, with each version improving on the previous one. Gradually, that initial seed idea evolved into the book we have today.
3. The characters in your book are quite distinct. Are they based on real people?
Imagination is a gift, and there are no limits to it. This is my own world where I try to soar freely. During these imaginative moments, my characters were born. I enjoyed giving them their powers, strengths, and personalities, hoping to make them truly memorable.
4. Your book explores several themes. What messages do you hope readers take away?
The book explores themes such as friendship, courage, unity, and the triumph of good over evil. Most importantly, it emphasizes friendship. The message is simple when people who share an ideology and purpose come together, nothing is impossible.
5. The world-building is immersive. How did you create the setting?
The setting of a book is very important because it helps readers visualize the story. I have named only two cities in the book. All incidents and locations are purely imaginative, allowing the story to unfold freely without real-world limitations.
6. How do you balance originality with genre expectations?
There is always a need to be realistic, but I was careful not to draw comparisons with real-life incidents. The genre demands realism, adventure, and fantasy. Balancing imagination with realism was challenging, but I worked hard to ensure the story felt believable while remaining creative and exciting.
7. The pacing is engaging. How did you maintain tension and momentum?
The characters play a crucial role in maintaining momentum. Their friendships, emotions, and sense of responsibility drive their actions. The presence of villains and the role of the police add tension, keeping the story engaging from start to finish.
8. How do you see traditional storytelling evolving today?
Traditional storytelling was straightforward, with predictable actions and outcomes. Modern storytelling has evolved due to technology and media influence. Stories now feature more twists, expansive settings, and unpredictable outcomes. Characters possess extraordinary powers, making narratives more thrilling, exciting, and relevant to contemporary audiences.
