New Delhi: Mahindra, one of India’s top automobile manufacturers, launched the five-door Thar Roxx in August. The bookings for this SUV started on October 3, and in this article, we’ll tell you how many units were booked in the first hour and the price of this vehicle.
Impressive Response
Mahindra’s Thar Roxx received an overwhelming response from customers across the country. Bookings began on October 3 at 11 AM, and within just one hour, a total of 1,76,218 units were booked.
When Will Deliveries Begin?
The bookings opened on the first day of Navratri, and the deliveries are set to start from Dussehra, which falls on October 12.
Powerful Engine Options
The Thar Roxx comes with two engine options: a 2.0-litre TGDI mStallion (RWD) and a 2.2-litre mHawk (RWD & 4×4). The 2.0-litre engine delivers 119 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque with a manual transmission, and 130 kW of power with 380 Nm of torque through a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.2-litre engine produces 111.9 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque with a manual transmission, and up to 128.6 kW of power and 370 Nm of torque with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Features of the Mahindra Thar Roxx
The SUV is packed with features like driver and passenger airbags, side and curtain airbags, TPMS, parking sensors, rear camera, E-Call, SOS, rear disc brakes, ESC, EBD, ABS, hill hold, AdrenoX connected car, Harman Kardon audio system, a 26.03 cm infotainment system, a 26.03 cm HD digital instrument cluster, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, surround-view camera, Level-2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, auto temperature control, rear AC vents, automatic headlights, rear wiper and washer, cooled glove box, push-button start, cruise control, 18 and 19-inch tires, panoramic sunroof, LED lights, dual-tone interior, and various driving modes like Snow, Sand, and Mud.
Mahindra has also introduced a new Mocha Brown interior option, available exclusively for the 4X4 variants.
Pricing
The Thar Roxx is available in six variants. The ex-showroom price for the 2WD variants starts at ₹12.99 lakh, while the top variant is priced at ₹20.49 lakh. The 4WD variants start at ₹18.79 lakh, and the top 4WD variant is priced at ₹20.99 lakh.
