1. What inspired you to write this particular book, and how did the idea for the story come to you?
Answer:
This story was inspired by several real-life incidents—an earthquake that affected many people, a heartbreak experienced by a friend of mine, and a widower known to my family who remarried after much hesitation because he didn’t want to hurt the memory of his late wife.
Behind all these experiences lies one simple truth: life is precious, and everyone deserves happiness. If life offers you a second chance, have the courage to embrace it.
2. Can you share some insights into your writing process? Do you follow a specific routine or have any unique rituals that help you get into the creative flow?
Answer:
Most of my poems and stories are inspired by real-life incidents. Whenever I come across an incident, place, or person that interests me, I explore it deeply. From there, the idea for a story or poem develops naturally.
I don’t follow a rigid writing routine. Instead, I allow inspiration to guide me, trusting the story to unfold in its own time.
3. The characters in your book are quite distinct and memorable. Are they based on real people, or did they evolve purely from your imagination?
Answer:
Many of the characters in my poems and stories are inspired by people I know or have heard about.
In Quake of Fate, the characters are inspired by individuals within my social circle. They represent people who embraced a second chance at life and transformed it into a success story. While the circumstances in the novel are fictional, the emotions and message are rooted in reality.
4. Your book explores themes of love, grief, resilience, and second chances. What motivated you to write about these themes, and what do you hope readers will take away from your work?
Answer:
Life has taught me that it is precious, and nothing—and no one—is worth giving it up for. When one door closes, another is always waiting to be opened. We simply need the strength to move forward and prove that whatever, or whoever, has been left behind cannot prevent us from embracing a brighter future.
I hope readers finish this book believing that healing is possible and that every ending has the potential to become a new beginning.
5. The emotional setting of the novel feels incredibly vivid. How did you create such an immersive atmosphere?
Answer:
When an idea comes to me, I often write the entire book in a single sitting. The scenes, dialogue, emotions, and characters appear naturally in my mind, allowing me to immerse myself completely in the story.
I consider myself fortunate that storytelling comes so effortlessly, enabling me to create emotionally engaging worlds that readers can truly experience alongside my characters.
6. As a writer, how do you balance originality with readers’ expectations in contemporary romance?
Answer:
I understand that today’s readers often look for more intensity and drama in their books. However, I choose to keep my stories clean and emotionally driven, making them suitable for readers from sixteen to sixty years of age.
My stories explore universal human emotions—love, obsession, fear, insecurity, heartbreak, and happiness—in simple, relatable language. Anyone who has experienced love, whether joyful or painful, will likely find something familiar within my stories.
7. The pacing keeps readers emotionally invested throughout the novel. How did you approach building that emotional momentum?
Answer:
While writing this story, I placed myself in the female protagonist’s position and experienced every situation emotionally before writing it.
This is a realistic love story rather than a fairy tale. I wanted readers to experience every emotion alongside the characters, making their journey feel genuine and believable.
8. In today’s rapidly changing publishing landscape, how do you see storytelling evolving, and how do you connect with modern readers?
Answer:
There was a time when very few people could become published authors because the publishing process was difficult and inaccessible. Today, publishing opportunities have opened doors for many talented writers.
However, with the increasing use of artificial intelligence, many stories have begun to feel repetitive. The language, storylines, and structure often appear factory-produced. Readers who frequently use digital reading platforms will notice that many books follow similar patterns.
I believe originality remains irreplaceable. My stories are entirely my own, shaped by personal experiences, observations, and imagination. Passionate readers can immediately recognise the difference.
I hope more aspiring authors continue to write authentic stories and preserve the individuality that makes literature so meaningful. Social media provides wonderful opportunities to connect with readers across the world, and I look forward to using these platforms to share my work.
Above all, I believe one thing will always remain true: an original voice will always have its own place, and genuine human storytelling cannot be replaced.
