Hyderabad, Telangana: Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC)’s Annual General Meeting held in the city at HICC, Novotel on Thursday. Sri. M. Mahender Reddy, The Director-General of Police was the Chief Guest. 

Mr. Krishna Yedula, General Secretary welcomed the gathering. Respective forum Leaders Ms. Pratyusha Sharma Jt. Secretary Women Forum, Mr. Venkat Dinakar Jt. Secretary Safety, Security Forum Mr. Abhishek Kumar Jt. Secretary Cyber Security Forum and Mr. Venkat Tankasala – Jt. Secretary Traffic and CSR Forum gave brief account of the activities undertaken by them.  

Sri. M. Mahender Reddy, released the AGM 2020-21 Book containing the activities done during the Year and the Financial Audit Report. He also launched the Centre of Excellence FrameWork Document.

DGP congratulated SCSC for its services for the last fifteen years. The main Vision of SCSC when it was formed 15 yrs back was to set up an industry body by the Industry, for the Industry and funded by the Industry and the Police should only facilitate. 

He has urged the importance of setting up the Centre of Excellence – COE to handle the issues of Cyber Crimes. As the entire world is shifting to Digital Platform especially during the Pandemic most of the people working from Home are using Digital Platforms. Taking advantage of this the conventional criminals are also adopting the digital platform and have started cheating people through digital media.

He urged the industry to come forward and join hands in setting up the COE to address and counter all the Cyber Crimes in Telangana and set up an example for the rest of India. And this COE will become a role model for the entire world.

The DGP suggested SCSC organise more inclusive programs for all the new verticals and spread its safety security programs across all the verticals and also spread the services to other districts of Telangana to replicate the SCSC and help for the growth of the industry and the business.

He further suggested getting the rural youth into employment who have a lot of talent which helps to minimise crime as well. Suggested the CP Cyberabad drive this engagement program of Employment to Rural Youth to drive through SCSC effectively.

Sri M. Stephen Raveendra, the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad and Chairman SCSC said, it is a rare combination of the Industry Body and the Police to serve the Industry and Society for the safety and security and Business Growth. It was very evident during the Pandemic the kind of support the Industry has extended not only by Funding but also by ways of Services like setting up Hospitals, setting up the ICU Units at the Government Hospitals, sponsoring the Ambulances, Vaccination not only to their employees but also to the parents and people in general. The Industry has set up an excellent example of Joining Hands to fight the Pandemic, this gives us a lot of energy to win over any kind of situation. He has also urged the importance of the Industry to forward in setting up the Centre of Excellence to combat Cyber Crimes. He has thanked Sri VC Sajjanar, IPS for driving the SCSC very effectively during the Pandemic.

He has also urged other Industry verticals like Pharma, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Hospitality and Infra to join SCSC to serve the Industry.

Mr. Praveen Polavaram, Treasurer, SCSC presented the Financial Audit Report.

On the occasion of Felicitating the Donors and Sponsors the DGP has said that this is a very good example of fighting together and winning over the situations like Natural Calamities, Pandemics, etc.

Later all the Sponsors and Donors were felicitated as a token of Gratitude for their Contribution during the Pandemic.
