Kalimpong (West Bengal) [India], March 5, 2024: What began as a shared adventure between three friends on the shores of Mousuni Island has blossomed into a thriving network of nature escapes – ATC Camps. Founded in 2018 by Arindam, Tanushri, and Chandan Ghosh, ATC Camps offers unique travel experiences nestled amidst the breathtaking scenery of North Bengal.
The founders’ journey with ATC Camps began with a simple trip on Mousuni Island. Inspired by the beauty and serenity of the location, they envisioned sharing this experience with others. However, fate had other plans. After facing challenges due to Cyclones Amphan and Yaas, which unfortunately submerged their Mousuni Island campsite, the trio decided to refocus their efforts on the picturesque hill regions of North Bengal.
Starting with a single property in Samalbong, Kalimpong district, ATC Camps has steadily grown its presence. Today, it offers diverse stay options across Daragaon, Phadamchen, Mayrong Gaon, Santook River Side, Gangtok, and most recently, Sisamara, bordering the Jaldapara National Park.
The name ATC originates from the initials of the founders – Arindam, Tanushri, and Chandan. While Tanushri and Arindam have transitioned to government careers, Arindam continues to lead ATC Camps, carrying forward their shared dream.
