The key objective of Shelter Expo 22 is to promote Nashik at global level since it is the next ideal real estate destination in entire Maharashtra. We also want to promote the projects of our members of CREDAI Nashik Metro to customers who are looking to buy homes or invest in Nashik.

The Expo this year received a footfall of over half a lakh consumers and unit wise sale of over 450+ flats and 100+ plots was achieved.
Share key highlights of the Expo?
The key highlight of the Expo was the launch of the JLL- CREDAI report on Nashik – The emerging education hub of India by the hands of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This year was the 10th edition of the Expo and the biggest one so far, spread across 5 lakh sq feet exhibition space with over 120 participants. We also digitalized the Expo wherein customers could access brochures, collaterals etc. with a single click on the QR code. In addition, the Expo also had a Smart / Happy Street that showcased local art and culture performances as an attraction for outstation participants.
How does the Expo help to profile Nashik as an ideal realty destination?
Nashik has transformed from a pilgrim city to one of the fastest developing cities in the country. The overall infrastructural development has been instrumental in driving the socio-economic progress of the city. Today we have companies across various sectors like food processing, pharma, manufacturing, IT services investing in the city and large universities and educational institutions making a beeline for the city. This development automatically attracts residents and commercials players and Expo like Shelter’22 provides a platform for developers and other allied businesses to showcase their inventory to these potential investors who are keen to be part of the city.
What about Nashik attracts people to come and stay in the city?
There are ample reasons for Nashik to be the choice of destination and one of the biggest asset of the city is its abundance of natural resources! Most cities in Maharashtra are facing water crisis, but Nashik is blessed with abundant natural water resource and have 4 dams providing ample water to the city for drinking and agricultural use. This is the backbone of the real estate development of the city because water supply is well panned for the next 10 – 15 years. Nashik also is the largest supplier of vegetables, flowers and fruits to entire Maharashtra, so access to quality produce enhances the quality of life here. We say Nashik has kitchen and garden in the same city! Needless to say the weather and ambient climate of the city is perfect and lovely throughout the year, making it an obvious choice for home dwellers.
What are the key projects/government initiatives underway that will help Nashik?
For any city, connectivity is paramount and the geo-location of Nashik, naturally makes the city easily accessible. Its proximity to Pune and Mumbai and the city’s connectivity to all nearby towns and locations in Maharashtra, in addition to the airport, makes Nashik super-connected. We also have the Samrudhi highway going to Mumbai and Nashik is a key element on that highway – connected at three-four junctions. The DMRC- Delhi-Mumbai corridor did not include Nashik in the initial plan, but later Nashik was added owing to the potential growth and development in the city. There is also a Chennai -Surat expressway sanctioned which will include Nashik and thus it will be a gateway for Nashik to get connected to the South. It will also build proximity for Nashik with Surat the eco-hub of Gujarat.
JLL launched a Nashik education report. Any key features you want to share about the report?
The key highlight of the Expo was the launch of the JLL- CREDAI report on Nashik – The emerging education hub of India by the hands of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. This report talks about Nashik’s growth as an education hub and the potential it has to offer to students all over the globe. Quality education, affordable living and safety are the main reasons for Nashik becoming the preferred choice for education. Also with the increasing industrial parks, MNC companies and IT parks coming up there is ample job opportunities for students locally. As per the report, 30% of the educational demand from graduation to post-Graduation especially in research will come to Nashik.
What are the strategic plans CREDAI Metro Nashik has for the next 2-3 years?
CREDAI Nashik Metro has been instrumental in the overall infrastructural development in the city as it closely works with the corporation and the government towards planned execution of the various projects to ensure timely completion with minimal interference in the civic life. As per the CREDAI report, Nashik has over 2000 residential projects and 200 commercial projects underway at different stages of development – so nearly 10,000 new homes will be available over the next two-three years. In addition, we will be closely working towards city-branding and city-development road planning and creating networks in order to enhance the ambience of the city to support the on-going socio-economic development.
