1. How do you balance your role as a marketing expert and a parallel entrepreneur with your passion for mental wellness through Solh Wellness?

Answer: Balancing both roles require careful integration. As a marketing expert and parallel entrepreneur, I ensure that my passion for mental wellness & social entrepreneurship via Solh Wellness remains at the forefront of my endeavors. I integrate my marketing expertise to promote and grow the platform while building a harmonious ecosystem with my other ventures, allowing me to contribute effectively to both areas.

2. What motivated you to start Solh Wellness, and how does it differentiate itself from other mental wellness platforms?

Answer: Unlike other ventures that often have a background story of the founders dealing with a specific mental health issue themselves and hence coming up with a venture to solve it, I don’t have such a personal story. I stumbled upon the idea for Solh Wellness during a lightbulb moment—Unbeknownst to us, we dedicate approximately 16 hours a day to our mental well-being, and what’s fascinating is that our mental health has a hand in shaping every decision we make. It’s like an invisible guiding force, and if we learn to harness and control it, the possibilities are limitless.

The inspiration for launching Solh Wellness was also rooted in my apprehensions regarding the social & psychological repercussions of Covid-19 and its impact on mental well-being. The pandemic’s silver lining was that it acted as a wake-up call, prompting individuals to acknowledge the crucial role of mental health, technology, and People Driven Healthcare (PDH) in the healthcare landscape. At Solh Wellness, we firmly believe that mental health is a Universal Human Right, empowering individuals with the vocabulary, tools and framework to take control of their own mental health journey.

While other mental health companies are drawn to the idea that “When there is blood in the streets, there is money to be made,” and thus focus on selling therapies, Solh Wellness takes a different path. Our primary goal is to empower individuals on their mental health journey, offering comprehensive support, tools, and resources that facilitate sustainable well-being. We believe in the power of prevention and early intervention, making mental wellness accessible and a fundamental right for all. Our approach is rooted in social entrepreneurship and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of our users by providing them the platform for free.

Answer: Solh Wellness empowers individuals in their mental health journey by providing them with a comprehensive vocabulary, tools, and framework. We offer various resources & tools to enable individuals to understand and address their mental well-being effectively, affordable expert services to foster acceptance and destigmatize mental health, creating a non-judgmental safe space for those seeking mental wellness solutions. Our platform ensures 24/7 availability, and personalized support, making mental wellness accessible to all.

4. How do you envision the future of mental wellness and its importance in society, and how does Solh Wellness contribute to that vision?

Answer: In my vision, mental wellness is a fundamental aspect of overall well-being. It should receive the attention it deserves in society and we aim to make it a Universal Human Right. Mental health intertwines with multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making it a cross-cutting issue that deserves the spotlight. Solh Wellness contributes to this vision by aligning itself with 5/17 SDGs – SDG 3, SDG 4, SDG 5, SDG 8 and SDG 10, providing preventive and comprehensive support at the early stages of mental challenges. We promote acceptance, affordability, 24/7 availability, accessibility and personalized assistance, empowering individuals to prioritize their mental well-being.

5. In your opinion, what is the ultimate impact or legacy you hope to leave in the field of mental wellness through your work with Solh Wellness?

Answer: Through my work with Solh Wellness, my ultimate impact and legacy would be empowering individuals to proactively address their mental health. I hope to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage people to seek help without hesitation. I want mental wellness to be recognized as a crucial component of overall health and well-being.

6. Can you provide insights into the inspiration or meaning behind the name and logo of your platform?

Answer: The name “Solh Wellness” was ingeniously chosen to resonate with our diverse audience worldwide. For our global users, “Solh” derives its roots from Arabic, embodying the concept of “making peace,” much akin to the serenity of one’s soul. Specifically catering to our Arabic-speaking friends, it is spelled “Sulh,” carrying the essence of “making peace” in a simple and powerful manner. And for our Hindi-speaking community, it takes the form of सुलह, yet retaining the core meaning of “making peace.” You can say we embrace the universal pursuit of inner tranquility, extending its arms to everyone, regardless of their linguistic background.

Solh Wellness’s logo story features two characters, Mann and Demann. Mann represents optimism, cheerfulness, and carefree nature, while Demann embodies pessimism, fearfulness, and caution. Despite their differences, Mann never lets go of Demann, who, in turn, uses their inhibitions to protect Mann and keep them grounded. The logo symbolizes finding harmony within ourselves, combining optimism and caution to achieve wellness and fulfillment.

7. How does Solh Wellness solve the problem of social stigma surrounding mental health?

Answer: Solh Wellness takes a proactive approach to combating the social stigma surrounding mental health. Our mission is to foster acceptance and understanding, creating a safe space where individuals can seek help without fearing judgment. Through our free workshops and educational resources, we aim to make mental well-being accessible to all, and in doing so, we strive to normalize open and meaningful conversations about mental health.

Answer: People commonly lack the vocabulary, tools, and frameworks to effectively cultivate and sustain their mental well-being. Solh Wellness bridges this gap by providing comprehensive resources and personalized support to empower individuals on their mental health journey.

Answer: The global landscape has undergone significant transformation, leading to an increase in mental health challenges. Events like the Covid pandemic have heightened stress, anxiety, and depression, affecting individuals’ mental well-being. Solh Wellness aims to address these challenges by providing essential support during such unprecedented times.

10. What traction has Solh Wellness achieved so far, and what is your vision regarding it five years down the lane?

Answer: Solh Wellness has achieved notable traction as a comprehensive mental wellness platform and marketplace, by providing a non-judgmental safe space where mental health is accepted and available 24/7, accessible, affordable, and personalized for everyone. We have garnered over 70,000+ downloads globally on our app and have over 250+ clinical service providers onboard who provide expert assistance to our users. Our free Talk Now feature has had 6000+ conversations, helping people through difficult times. Looking ahead five years, my vision is for Solh Wellness to grow exponentially, reaching and positively impacting even more lives. I aim for the platform to play a significant role in mental health awareness and prevention, creating a lasting impact in the field of mental wellness.
