The Vivekananda Sustainability Summit is a national summit organised to bring to a common platform the isolated efforts that are taking place in India, to achieve and implement Sustainable development in the country.

The summit is spread over 2 days, 19th and 20th April, 2022 and will be a virtual and in-person Summit to be held at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi.

It will provide a valuable platform for exchange of views from eminent personalities, experts and thought leaders in various areas of environment impact and sustainability.

The summit will bring key stakeholders together from government, corporate sector, academia, non-governmental organisations and civil society at large and will influence opinion makers, increase awareness about the environment crisis, mitigation strategies and roles of various stakeholders.

The Summit in partnership with Indorama will spread itself over an Expo to showcase Green Technologies to strengthen the sustainable efforts in India. The Summit will also conduct a Conference involving key stakeholders to discuss various facets of adoption & implementation of sustainable initiatives following which the Vivekananda Sustainability Summit will also Recognise and Award deserving individuals institutions who are contributing in several unique ways to further the sustainable cause.

The Summit organiser Dr Rajesh Sarwadnya spearheading this cause expressed his enthusiasm and said, “The continuity of human presence in this world depends on sustainable solutions that require major efforts and a high expenditure towards integrity of the ecosystem for future generations.”

Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Transport and Highways will be gracing the Summit as the Honourable Chief Guest and will be declaring it open. 

The Vivekananda Sustainability Summit will also be attended by various esteemed personalities who will bring their own set of experience and expertise. These include Respected Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati President & Spiritual Head, Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh, Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit Vice-Chancellor, JNU, New Delhi, Padma Bhushan Dr. Vijay Bhatkar Chancellor Nalanda University, Padma Bhushan Dr. K Radhakrishnan Former Chairman ISRO, Shri. Arjun Aggarwal, Indorama.Rajesh Kumar Pathak, IP&TAFS, Secretary, Technology Development Board.

Padma Vibhushan Dr Raghunath Mashelkar who is India’s most eminent global scientist expressed his thoughts, “I am very happy and proud to announce the happening of the prestigious Vivekananda Sustainability Summit. The 1st Vivekananda Sustainability Summit is also supported by Symphony, Arc Ventures, Global Interfaith Wash Alliance and Enam Asset Management. On the other hand, Jawaharlal Nehru University will act as the University Partner for the Summit, also supported by Technology development board government of India.
