Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology held the inaugural ceremony of the Pro Bono Club on 18 October 2023 as part of the Nyaya Bandhu Scheme.
The club’s objectives include promoting legal awareness and literacy among marginalized individuals in collaboration with NGOs. Their efforts encompass organizing legal aid camps and clinics, offering legal consultation, providing legal aid services to those in need, and supporting Pro Bono Advocates registered under the NyayaBandhu platform, among various other initiatives, as stated in the official release from Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology.
The Inaugural Ceremony of the Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology – Pro Bono Club was a resounding success. The event, held on 18.10.2023 at Fairfield Institute of Management & Technology, Auditorium, Wing A, brought together students, faculty, and community partners in an inspiring celebration of social responsibility. There was a distinguished panel of dignitaries who insight the event through their motivational and inspirational speeches. The Panel consisted of Justice Manju Goel, Former- Judge of Delhi High Court as Chief Guest, Adv. Dr. Krishan Mahajan, Ex Additional Registrar of Supreme Court Research & Planning, Supreme Court of India, as Guest of Honor & Ms. Sneha, Programme Manager, Access to Justice Nyaya Bandhu (Pro Bono Legal Services), as Guest of Honor
It featured motivational speeches, touching success stories, and networking opportunities with local nonprofits. The event raised awareness about pro bono work, inspired student engagement, and cultivated community among members. Thanks to the enthusiastic participation and support of the college community, the Pro Bono Club is now poised to make a meaningful impact on local communities.
The objectives for introducing the Pro Bono Club to Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology college community are as follows:
Create Awareness: Inform students, faculty, and staff about the Pro Bono Club’s presence and its mission.
Promote Participation: Encourage college students to actively engage in pro bono activities, volunteering their time and skills for charitable causes and community projects.
Raise Awareness: Increase understanding of the concept of pro bono work and its significance.

Highlight Local Concerns: Showcase social, environmental, or community issues within the college’s local area that the Pro Bono Club aims to address.
