With over 350,000 streams across digital media streaming platforms, independent musician Om Karr’s latest composition “Ruh” is becoming popular among the Indie music-loving crowd, only just in India, but North America and Europe as well.
Omkar Bhalerao, better known by his stage name Om Karr, is an Indo-Canadian singer, songwriter, music & video producer, actor, and composer based in Toronto. A versatile singer originally from Pune in India, Om Karr has sung in English, Spanish, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, and Bengali. He has performed at various locations across India and Canada, including Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Niagara Falls, and many more. He has been the brand ambassador of Panorama India, a not-for-profit umbrella organization that helps unite various Indian cultural associations and groups, since 2020.
His original compositions and covers have crossed over a million streams across all digital streaming platforms. In addition to “Ruh” (Lo-Fi), his other composition “Dard”, released in 2020, is also widely popular and has also crossed more than 100,000 streams. “Ruh” and “Dard” also got listed in Rolling Stone India’s playlists, along with “Tu Hi Tu”, another original released in 2021. He was also featured in Mid-day and Radio & Music.
He has also given his voice for the song “Tera Beta Banega Superstar”, which was released under the famous record label, Red Ribbon Muzik.
