Abhishek Choubey, 23, embodies the phrase “If you do what you love, you won’t ever have to work a day in your life”. He has been working as a hairstylist since his teenage years and has been in the industry for almost a decade now. His career spans 8 long years, and he has picked up his fair share of laurels, and accolades in the journey.
Choubey was born and brought up in the city of Ballia (Uttar Pradesh), but has travelled extensively throughout the country for his work. He has left his mark in the bustling cosmopolitans of Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow and has now settled down in Indore. He regularly works with models, influencers and high-profile clients and specialises in dyeing, colouring and chemically treating hair. He is one of the best in his field, and his expertise is attested by the trust his clients place in him.
Choubey has done a score of seminars and workshops throughout the country and has been able to reach a lot of people with his talent and has inspired them to pursue a career in hairstyling as well. For his hard work and contribution, he was given the Young Talent Award 2022.
Choubey says, “Hairstyling is such a delicate art. Hair and fashion are very personal to people, and when my clients put their trust in me I feel very honoured. I make sure to keep myself up-to-date on the latest trends in the hairstyling world and what could be the next big thing. But I also have to strike a balance and ensure that I am hearing my clients, so all their expectations are met. It is always fun working with colour and scissors to transform my client’s appearance and helping them feel confident and comfortable in their skin!”.
Abhishek Choubey continues to move forward and gain momentum, his next big goal is to open a training academy for young hairstylists, and educating the junior artists into becoming unmatched professionals.
