Gujarat: Corona vaccination camps to be organized in all schools-colleges of the state

Students above 18 years age, employees-teachers-their families eligible for vaccination will be covered in these camps

Gandhinagar, Gujarat: Corona vaccination camps will be organized in schools-colleges of all the districts of the state. These Corona vaccination camps will cover school-college students above the age of 18, employees, teachers and their families eligible for vaccination.

This decision has been taken in the Core Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani with Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitin Patel, Energy Minister Mr. Saurabh Patel, Chief Secretary Mr. Anil Mukim and Senior Secretaries.

Following the guidelines given by the Government of India to the states to cover all teachers under Corona Vaccination by September 5 – ‘Teachers’ Day’, the state government has decided to set up this system in Gujarat as well.

In this regard, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Mr. Manoj Aggarwal said that the Chief Minister has instructed in the Core Committee to allocate additional quantity of vaccines to the districts for corona vaccination camps in schools and colleges.
