Vaibhav Gattani – Humans have all the answers but not the right questions!

Vaibhav A Gattani, an emerging filmmaker is all set to launch by releasing his independent feature film “Void”. His strong desire to tell a story that reaches and touches a common people’s heart is what keeps him going. Born in Sangli on 11th October 1994, Vaibhav is a 28year old filmmaker living in Mumbai who decided to produce his feature film “Void” instead of going with few producers and compromising on the output and quality of the narrative. On being asked about the same, he said –

“Well, few producers were actually interested in producing Void but then they had few conditions which were not acceptable to me. They wanted to shoot the bold scenes in a particular way (close-ups and more skin show) which was just not acceptable to me as it didn’t give justice to the script and the other is that they wanted to add more dialogues and explain everything in dialogues, which I feel would have changed the purpose and meaning of our film!

Void on the surface seems to be about Rhea’s journey to conception – to what extent she goes when she is not able to conceive a child!

But the real movie is about the perplexities of human relation and behavior.

It is a very matured and meaningful movie with a lot of subtle emotions.

Since all the characters and emotions are so natural, realistic and relatable, I chose not to tell but to make the audience feel each and every emotion and let them decide what the characters are going through.

Every individual will connect the movie with their own life and will have a unique perspective and interpretation. This freedom and openness is what makes VOID so beautiful and unique.

I feel that humans have all the knowledge and they don’t need someone to tell them what to do. But just that sometimes we forget to ask ourselves the questions!

As a Filmmaker, I tend to end my movie with a lot of questions because humans have all the answers but not the right questions!”

Void is an independent feature film produced by Icescape films and will be soon released on digital platforms.
